A cooperative card game where everyone sees your cards but you
Snip & Spark is a free online co-op card game for 2 to 5 players, inspired by the classic hidden-information game Hanabi. You hold your cards facing away from you: your teammates can see them, you can't. Together you give careful hints, launch cards in the right order, and fill a pastel night sky with crayon fireworks.
Play with friends by sharing a link, or fill the table with computer teammates at Easy, Normal or Expert level. It runs in your browser on phones and computers, with nothing to install.
How to play
- There are five firework suits: Peony, Mum, Willow, Comet and Halo. Each suit has three 1s, two each of 2, 3 and 4, and a single 5.
- The team builds each suit from 1 to 5. Every correct launch grows that firework in the sky.
- On your turn, do one thing: launch a card from your hand, snip a card to the scrap pile to relight a lantern, or give a hint for one lantern by pointing out all of a teammate's cards of one suit or one number.
- Launching a card that doesn't fit burns a fuse. Three burnt fuses and the show fizzles out.
- The game ends one round after the deck runs out. Your score is the number of cards launched, up to a perfect 25.
Tips for a bigger show
- Hint what can be launched now. When you point at a teammate's newest cards, they'll usually read it as "play this".
- Protect the 5s. There's only one of each, so a "these are 5s" hint means "keep these safe".
- Snip your oldest unhinted card. That way teammates know which card is at risk and can warn you.
- Watch the scrap pile. It shows which cards are gone for good.
